This workbook is awesome. For each week, there is a structured daily devotional/ "worksheet" with some commentary and explanation. I also have the book, and think they go together well, but it is a lot of information. Would highly recommend that everyone go through the book and workbook, but if you are choosing between the two, I would go with the workbook. In fact, I've purchased copies for a few others. The language is very down to earth and easy to understand.
2000: The Search for Significance study helped me distinguish between deeply rooted false beliefs about my self-worth/value and God's Truths about us. Originally I'd studied, with friends, from the book itself (before revised editions) and it was rather 'heavy duty.' God's truths learned were instilled into my thinking and repeatedly referred to them throughout the years.2015: Am currently processing through the workbook available this time, writing in it like designed, and it's great. So much easier. After years of struggling, I decided it was time - once and for all - to do whatever it takes to stop allowing distorted false beliefs to cripple me emotionally and effecting how I related to everyone. It's just not working for me to spend one more day allowing false beliefs about myself to cripple me when I believe with all my heart and very being that my worth and value is from God and my relationship with Jesus Christ - not according to what other people think about me or dictate what I must do or not do to be 'acceptable' according to human standards. Search for Significance is, once again, helping me reject the lies I've allowed to influence my life and embrace the truth and love of God. He really does love me. "If God is for me, who can be against me." What I'm relearning is helping me relate to people with God's perspective about them as well. I'm looking forward to finishing the workbook and doing it again with a friend or two - feedback and discussion is always extra helpful. Thanks.
Church group was reading the book and I wanted a more in depth personal study so I ordered the Workbook for personal use. This workbook had a profound effect on me as I studied my life and saw myself in some of the illustrations and behaviors and am working on catching and changing things that do not give me peace and happiness. In the Church group the numbers in attendance dropped as the study became introspective; some people are just not ready to release their stuff even if it is creating chaos in their lives. Am looking forward to reading other books by this author.
This is a very useful workbook to help encourage thinking about relationships in our lives. We search for significance in all of the wrong places sometimes, when what we need to do is find out for ourselves how important we are to the LORD. We are eternally significant to Him, and this workbook helps us to figure out why. Good resource!

I got this book because I struggled with low self-esteem and self-worth. I know that finding self-worth outside of Christ is only temporary and this book helps remind you of that. I like that the book is broken into "days" because it's a lot of information and something you do not want to rush through.
If you are in pursuit of your life's significance, this is a MUST READ! Text is practicak, relatable and easy to understand and integrate into your daily life routine. Also love the workbook feature that allows you to work through the applications as often as you are inspired to do so.
