My son just started with this book and got very frustrated because he could not solve some problems....well, there are typos in math problems! we did 2 first pages and found 2(two!) typos.Not acceptable.
I bought this book for my child who will be writing the Middle Level SSAT. The Practice Drills are not differentiated according to Middle and Upper Levels. This makes the drills essentially useless, when they are not specific to the level you will be writing. My son took all six Reading Drills, we timed him for 40 minutes, and he didn't score anywhere close to what is usually the norm for him. I could see he felt confused and demoralized, so I decided to take the test for myself, and then realized that it was NOT appropriate for ML. So be aware that if your ML kid scores lower with this book, that they should not take it to heart because the tests and drills are not constructed meaningfully and with any sort of specificity.The answers to the questions are also cumbersome to find. You'd expect the layout to be such that answers follow the end of each chapter, or come at the end of the book. But they are somewhere random in the middle of the book. Each question also does not point directly to an answer, but just generically points you to look at Chapter 9, and from there you have to page through until you reach the relevant question. Very tedious.We also noticed what are either typos or mistakes. A few math problems had some strange answers, and I am still trying to figure out how "disparity" is a "qualm" and not a "difference". I highly recommend you try another book if you are looking to practice, because this one is very frustrating to get through.
Last year they took out the drills and everyone booed - this year they're back. Exactly the same as before. No new content. The reading comp passages are way shorter than the real test. Lazy publisher - much better books out there!

The material inside was very helpful but the pages were flimsy and ripped easily.
This combines Lower, Middle and Upper ISEE . and SSAT. My son figure out that only about 1/6 applied to what he needed - upper ISEE. Save your money, buy a more targeted book for the test you want.
