This book is written in a style that makes it hard to read, even for a textbook. It contains lots of important information and several great chapters, but it case you are careful you'll fall asleep every 15 mintues.
This is a great introductory book on the public health challenges in the U.S. today. I am a medical student with an interest in public health, and I read this book in college. I recommend it for anyone looking for a quick, easy to read introduction into the main barriers to health care.
A littlie expensive, however I think the return of the investment worth it. A really good book for those interest in understanding health and for especially for health care workers.
My wife is using the book for a College class. At this time she has only read the first two chapter but stated that she really like how the book is laid out and is easy to follow.
I returned it because I dropped the course. I started reading it and I had a difficult time in understanding it!
